Following the amendment to the University Act passed in 2021, continuing education studies are to be reorganized in Austria.

What does that mean for you?

• Changed deadlines for continuation notification (for 1st semester students):
  
  In order to continue your studies, as a student, you must deposit your course fees* each semester within the admission deadline. 
  
  Deadlines for the coming academic year 2022/23:
  
  winter semester 2022/23: 31 October 2022
  summer semester 2023: 31 March 2023
  
  These deadlines cannot longer be extended.
  
  Information about your exact payment deadline you can find at your UWKonline-Account in the menu "registration status and participation fees". 
  
  Attention! Only timely payments of the full amount will enable you to continue your studies. Payments that are not made on time or do not fully correspond to the prescribed amount cannot be considered - your admission tou your studies will expire (Exmatriculation).
  
  * The cours fee includes the ÖH fee (for the winter semester 2022/23 EUR 21.20).

 

• Changed deadline to apply for recognition of achievements:
  
  As of the winter semester 2022/23, the recognition of achievements that have already been completed prior to admission must be applied before the end of the 2nd semester. 
  Applications received after the deadline cannot be considered.
  
  

• Master's programs:
  
  Students currently enrolled in a master's program can graduate within a period of 3 times the normal duration of their studies (counted from 1 October 2023) or within the maximum duration of studies stipulated in the curriculum. 

 

These deadlines have changed due to an amendment to the University Act and ar binding in terms of study law. Goodwill solutions on the part of the university are not possible.
